Taste Queenstown - Guided Walking Tour
- Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Queenstown
The starting point for this tour is the picturesque promenade of Lake Wakatipu. From our meeting point outside Patagonia Chocolates on the corner of Rees Street and Marine Parade it is a short walk to a local chocolatier; here we sample some of the delicious treats on offer and get a behind-the-scenes look at the chocolate-making process. The next stop is one of Queenstown’s best-loved bakeries, where the good old-fashioned Kiwi pies come highly recommended; there is also a great array of breads, pastries, and sweet treats available here too. From here, we head to one of Queenstown’s culinary gems – an award-winning café with a fantastic selection of cabinet food and meals cooked to order; there are many gluten-free, vegan, and raw options available also. We make a quick stop at a local grocer famed for its focus on fresh and local produce, before heading back towards our lakefront starting point. Our final stops include a boutique cake shop with a penchant for local and organic ingredients, and a taqueria where all of the tacos are made with fresh, daily-pressed corn masa tortillas. All of the tacos on the menu are gluten-free and are prepared with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Along the way our guides will share some of the area’s vibrant history and recommend the best places to eat and drink at during your stay in Queenstown.
If you have any special dietary requirements just let us know when you make the booking and we will do our best to accommodate these. The tour is wheelchair accessible and your guide will be able to offer assistance if needed.
Note: At times the tour route and stops may vary slightly from above.
