Arrow River Craft Beer Bike Tour - Guided Tour
- Duration: 5 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Queenstown
Our evening craft beer bike tour is a must in the summer months. After pick-up from your accommodation, we take a scenic half hour drive to Gibbston where we choose to visit either the Gibbston Tavern or Gibbston Valley Cheese. We then ready ourselves for a leisurely bike ride down the Arrow River Bridges Trail to Arrowtown.
A short drive from the Gibbston, just past the Kawerau Gorge Suspension Bridge, is where we begin the cycling leg of the tour; our GT mountain bikes have front suspension and large easy-rolling wheels which ensures we have a comfortable ride. The mountainous backdrop makes for a stunning journey along the river to Arrowtown a historic goldmining village.
Upon arrival in Arrowtown you will have some free time to explore the village and we will then re-group at The Fork and Tap. This a popular spot amongst locals and they have a great selection of craft brews and tasty Kiwi pub fare.
We then drive back to Queenstown and finish our tour with a stop at Smiths Craft Beer Bar. Smith's ever changing selection of craft beers is impressive and from here you can then choose to stay at the bar or your guide can drop you back at your accommodation.
